Maximising the land-use for the proposal of luxury apartments in a much sought-after area of Liverpool.
The Aim
Maximise use of land in response to the housing needs of the area by designing sustainable apartments, benefiting from natural light, sustainable technologies and complying with ‘Lifetime Homes Standards’.
The Solution
We Proposed one 4-bedroom detached house, and two blocks containing four 3-bedroom apartments and six 3-bedroom apartments respectively, with a ratio of 1.5 car park spaces to apartments. Despite changes in ground level, levelled access was designed across the site for both pedestrians and vehicles. The construction system used low energy materials and technologies to deliver sustainable apartments.
The Outcome
National space standards were exceeded, creating luxurious apartments with ensuite facilities, and an environmentally focused design that could enhance the local area and withstand the test of time.
